The details of leave being enjoyed by the officers/personnel of Central Armed Police Force at present are given below:-

NB:     NSG is a 100% deputationist Force and the entire manpower is drawn from  Army, CAPFs, State Police and other organizations.  Officer/personnel posted in NSG are entitled to leave as admissible in their parent organizations.

A proposal for grant of Casual Leave for 20 days for officers and 30 days for other ranks of CAPFs posted in Battalion/Field, at par with Army in a calendar year to Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and Assam Rifles was received.  The proposal has been referred to 7^th Central Pay Commission vide MHA O.M. dated 17.10.2014.

NIA had submitted a “Vision Document” in which NIA proposed for creation of 1322  additional posts.  The proposal of NIA was examined by this Ministry and observed  that out the sanctioned strength of 816 a substantial number of posts have not been  filled up (254).  Therefore, MHA vide UO.No.11034/23/2010.PF.III dated 07/08/2014, NIA was advised to fill up the vacant posts first.  The branch wise sanctioned/posted  strength of NIA as on 13/02/2015 are as under:- Name  of Office Sanctioned Posted Vacancy NIA Hqr, Delhi 343 284 59 BO Mumbai 95 57 38 BO Hyderabad 110 81 29 BO Guwahati 87 56 31 BO Lucknow 71 55 16 BO Kolkata 81 17 64 BO Kochi 29 29 0 Total 816 579 237 The most of the cases being investigated by NIA are under the provisions of the Unlawful  Activities (Prevention) Act 1967 which mandate investigation by an officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police and above. The posts sanctioned for each Branch Offices of NIA include posts for Executive, Ministerial,  IT wing, Law Officers, Technical wing and other wings.

Efforts to improve better living, working and service condition for CAPF Personnel

The Government keeps on making efforts to improve better living, working and service condition for force personnel. The following measures have been taken in this regard:-

i) Implementing a transparent, rational and fair leave policy;

ii) Grant of leave to the force personnel to attend to their urgent domestic issues and social commitments;

iii) Regular interaction, both formal and informal, among Commanders, officers and troops to find out and address their problems;

iv) Revamping of grievances redressal machinery;

v) Regulating duty hours to ensure adequate rest and relief;

vi) Improving living conditions through provision of basic amenities/facilities for troops and their families;

vii) Government has approved extensionof the facility of retention of Government accommodation at the last place of posting for CAPF personnel deployed/posted in Left Wing Extremism affected areas/ districts (except State capitals), as notified by the Government of India from time to time

Special Pay for Paramilitary Personnel at PAR with Army

A proposal for grant of Para Military Service Pay (PMSP) to Central Armed Police Force personnel at par with Army personnel has been referred to the 7^th Central Pay Commission vide MHA O.M. dated 05.11.2014.  The rate of Para Military Service Pay requested is @ Rs. 2,000/- per month to Personnel Below Officer Rank (PBOR) and Rs.6,000/- per month to officers upto Dy. Inspector General of Police rank, based on the rates of Military Service Pay.  State Armed Police Forces are under the administrative control of State Governments.  As such, present proposal does not include State Armed Police Forces.

AGE LIMITS 18-23 years as on 01.08.2015 . Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1992 and not later than 01.08.1997.
Out of the total vacancies 6,583 vacancies are earmarked for North Eastern states (including Sikkim) and 1,631 for Jammu and Kashmir including 447 vacancies earmarked for 11 border districts of the State. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (as on 01.08.2015)

Matriculation or Xth class pass from a recognized board/university.

Call letters to candidates for PST/ PET will be issued by CRPF. For ONLINE applicants call letters may be downloaded from CRPF website http://www.crpf.nic.in/ from 15-4-2015 to 15-5-2015. Admit cards of only OFFLINE applicants will be sent through post, however they may also download the same from above mentioned website.

Written Examination – 04th October, 2015
The written examination will be conducted in Hindi, English and 15 regional languages including   Bengali, Assamese, Manipuri & Mizo languages for NE States and Kashmiri (Urdu script) for J&K. The written test will be preceded by the Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET).  Only those candidates who qualify the PST & PET will be allowed to appear in the written examination.
