ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:- ANY BACHELOR’S  DEGREE  FROM  A RECOGNISED  UNIVERSITY OR  EQUIVALENT
NOTE 1:Candidates who have appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Commission's examination but have not been informed of the results as also the candidates who intend to appear at such a  qualifying examination in the year 2015 will also be eligible for admission to the examination. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination if otherwise eligible but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation if they do not produce proof of having passed the requisite examination along with the Detailed Application Form Which will be required to be submitted online by the candidates who after qualifying on the result of the written part of the examination are also declared qualified in the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.

How to Apply for a PAN Card Online




Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a ten-digit alphanumeric number, issued in the form of a laminated card, by the Income Tax Department. PAN is a must for creating your paypal account. Anyone can apply for a PAN card, whether they are working or not. There is no restriction on age, region or nationality. You can submit an application for an underage minor and even on behalf of a newborn. Applications must be signed by a legal parent or guardian. A typical PAN number looks like AFZPK7190K.

Application for fresh allotment of PAN can be made through Internet. The charges for applying for PAN online is Rs. 105. Payment of application fee can be made through check, demand draft, credit/debit card or net-banking. Once the application and payment is accepted you will see a acknowledgement, you are required to send a proof of Identity & Address along with the acknowledgement to NSDL/UTITSL through courier/post. After they receive your documents, PAN card will be sent to your home.

Follow the steps below to apply for PAN card online:

  1. Go to https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan/
  2. Click “New PAN for Indian citizens” and select “Online Application for New PAN”.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page & select “Individual” as the category of applicant.
  4. Fill all the fields which are marked with an asterisk. (Detailed instructions).
  5. To fill area, range code, AO type and number click the Non-International Taxation AO details. Search your city by selecting the correct alphabet & click your city. Now comes the hard part. Read the description and try to find the correct circle for your region. If you’re unable to find it or if no description is available, you’ll have to take help from your friend/relative who lives in your area and has a pan card. Go to this link and submit your parents/friend’s PAN number. You’ll get his/hers AO details. Enter the same information in your form.
 

Once the application is submitted, you will be shown an acknowledgement page, which will have an Acknowledgement Number along with a summary of your details. It will also list the mode of payment and the documents to be submitted as address and identity proof, as chosen by you. You need to take a print-out of this acknowledgement page and affix a recent Passport-size photograph and sign in the box below using a black pen only. Please retain a copy of the acknowledgement for your reference.

Finally, The acknowledgment duly signed, affixed with photograph along with Demand Draft, if any, and proof of identity & proof of address should be sent to the address given on the acknowledgement page. You may send the documents to NSDL via courier, speed post, etc. Note that the documents must reach them within 15 days from the online application. The PAN card will arrive at your house in about two weeks.

SCHEME AND SYLLABUS OF THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS IN CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES (ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS) EXAMINATION.

SCHEME AND SYLLABUS OF THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS IN CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES (ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS) EXAMINATION.

(A) Scheme of Written Examination:-
The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will comprise two papers: (Paper I – 2 Hours duration and Paper-II- 3 Hours duration)

Paper-I: General Ability and Intelligence - 250 Marks
This paper will be of Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions) in which the questions will be set in English as well as Hindi.

Paper-II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension - 200 Marks
In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Précis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/Language Skills will be Englishonly.

NOTE-1 : Candidates should ensure that in Paper-IIthey write the Answers only in the Medium allowed by the Commission for the differentcomponents as mentioned above. No credit will be given for answers written in a medium other than the one allowed in the Paper.

NOTE-2: Candidates will be required to indicate the medium of writing the Essay Component in the Attendance List and on the Answer Book. No credit will be given for the Essay
Component if the candidate indicates a medium on the Attendance List and on the
Answer Book other than the one in which he / she has written the Essay.

NOTE-3: There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each Paper as may be fixed
by the Commission in their discretion. Paper-I will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper-II will be done only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I.

NOTE-4. There will be penalty (Negative Marking) for Wrong Answers Marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Paper:
(i) There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/3rd (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
(ii) If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happen to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.
(iii) If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) are published for general information:

Syllabi of the Written Papers:-
Paper-I: General Ability and Intelligence
The objective type questions with multiple choices in this paper will broadly cover the following areas:
#1. General Mental Ability
The questions will be designed to test the logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability and data interpretation.
#2. General Science
The questions will be set to test general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation including new areas of importance like Information Technology, Biotechnology and Environmental Science.
#3. Current Events of National and International Importance:
The questions will test the candidates' awareness of current events of national and international
importance in the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalization and interplay among nations.
#4. Indian Polity and Economy:
The questions shall aim to test candidates' knowledge of the Country's political system and
the Constitution of India, social systems and public administration, economic development in
India, regional and international security issues and human rights, including its indicators.
#5. History of India
The questions will broadly cover the subject in its social, economic and political aspects. This shall also include the areas of growth of nationalism and freedom movement.
#6. Indian and world Geography:
The questions shall cover the physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to
India and the world.

Paper-II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension
Part A - Essay questions which are to be answered in long narrative form either in Hindi or
English totaling 80 Marks. The indicative topics are modern Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.
Part B – Comprehension, précis writing, other communications/language skills- to be attempted in English only (Marks 120) – The topics are Comprehension passages, précis writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammar and other aspects of language testing.

CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES (ASSISTANT COMMANDANT) EXAMINATION

1. Qualified candidates will be allocated to one of the participating Forces, mentioned in the Rules as Assistant Commandant and will be subject to the relevant Act of the Force. Appointments will be made on probation for a period of 2 years provided that this period may be extended if the officer on probation has not qualified for a confirmation by passing the prescribed departmental examinations. Repeated failures to pass the departmental examinations within a period of 3 years will involve loss of appointment or reversion to his/her substantive post, if any.



2. If in the opinion of Government the work or conduct of an officer on probation is unsatisfactory or shows that he/she is unlikely to become anefficient Assistant Commandant, the Government may discharge him/her forthwith or may revert him/her to its substantive post, if any.

3. On the conclusion of his / her period of probation, Government may confirm the officer in
his/her appointment or if his / her work or conduct has, in the opinion of Government, been
unsatisfactory. Government may either discharge him / her from the service or may extend his / her period of probation for such further period as Government may think fit provided that in respect of appointment to temporary vacancies there will be no claim to confirmation.

4. If the power to make appointment in the service is delegated by Government to any officer, that officer may exercise any of the powers of Government described in the above clauses.

6. During the period of probation an officer will undergo training of professional courses in
respective Academy of the Forces and Foundation Course in BSF Academy at Tekanpur. In the each training institution, he / she will have to pass the end-of-course test. In addition departmental examination if any, will also have to be passed during the period of probation.

7. In cases, he / she does not pass the end-of the course test at the Academy, the first increment will be postponed by one year from the date on which he / she would have drawn it or up to the date on which under the departmental regulations, the second increment accrues, whichever is earlier.

8. The seniority amongst direct recruits, inter-se shall be determined by adding together the marks obtained by them in Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, in the Foundation Course in the BSF Academy, Tekanpur and the Professional Training Course conducted in the Academy of the respective Force in the ratio of 50:10:40.



NOTE-1. Probation Officers will start on the minimum of the scale of pay Assistant Commandant and will count their service for increments from the date of joining.

NOTE-2. It should be clearly understood by the probationers that their appointment would be
subject to any change in the constitution of the posts of Assistant Commandant in the Central
Armed Police Forces which the Govt. of India may think proper to make from time to time and that they would have no claim for compensation in consequences of any such changes.

NOTE-3. It should be clearly understood by the probationers that the promotion, if any, on their turn, will be available only to those who fulfill the conditions of eligibility criteria provided in the respective Recruitment Rules of the posts.

NOTE-4 The probationers are required to execute a bond to the effect that he / she shall not resign the service before completion of scheduled period prescribed by the force from time to time. In case of resigning prior to completion of the scheduled period, he / she shall refund the cost of training fixed by the Forces from time to time.

Ques 1: What is Maoism?
Answer: Maoism is a form of communism developed by Mao Tse Tung. It is a
doctrine to capture State power through a combination of armed
insurgency, mass mobilization and strategic alliances. Propaganda and
disinformation against State institutions are used as additional tools. Mao
called this process, the ‘Protracted Peoples War’.


Ques 2: What is the central theme of Maoist ideology?
Answer: The central theme of Maoist ideology is resorting to violence as a tool to
capture State power. ‘Bearing of arms is non-negotiable’ as per the Maoist
insurgency doctrine.


Ques 3: Who are the Indian Maoists?
Answer: The largest and the most violent Maoist formation in India are the
Communist Party of India (Maoist). The CPI (Maoist) is an amalgamation
of many splinter groups, which culminated in the merger of two largest
Maoist groups in 2004 – the PW and the MCCI. The CPI (Maoist) and all
its formations have been included in the list of banned terrorist
organizations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
